Ok, so it's not really the best day in June, but it is definitely a special day. And so... that was yesterday. Here's a little fun recap for ya.
Jene' and I decided we wanted Tombstone pictures (you know the old timey kind... where you dress up as saloon girls, cowboys, or whatever) and we wanted Henna tattoos... The day actually started with a quick trip to Wal*Mart, because come on, we had to dress up for the day... and what's a twin adventure without looking like... you got it, TWINS. :)
From there we had a small...ish detour at home and then we were on our way. We stopped at the Circle K in Tombstone for a Diamond Dog lunch, then headed for the boardwalk. We got to our "usual" Tombstone picture place in no time. ((I say usual because we've probably gotten pictures done there at least 5 times, more for Jene')) We dressed up as saloon girls, which was a first because we usually do the cowboy/cowgirl thing. It was fun.
From there we walked a little more slowly down the boardwalk and went to the Ice Cream & Fudge shop. And that was definitely a GREAT idea because it was, oh.... about 104 degrees outside. Pictures and ice cream was pretty much the extent of our jaunt into the "Town Too Tough To Die", but not the end of our little celebration.
After we got home and "relaxed" for a small bit, Jene' and I went out again. This time by ourselves. (Ben decided to stay home with the kids so we could have special sister time.) From there, we went by the mall to get the Henna tattoos done. After waiting for 3 people to get their eyebrows done {ok, so the place that does Henna also does this weird string facial hair removal thing} Anyways... after we waited for those 3 (and while looking through a henna design book that the lady handed us....) she told us they were out of henna.... nice.
Then onto dinner. Outback Steakhouse was our restaurant of choice. Mainly because neither of us had every really been there. We ordered drinks and an appetizer right off the bat. Peach Black Cherry Mojitos and jumbo shrimp cocktail. For our main course we both ordered snow crab legs and sirloins w/ a baked potato. And I have to say... although their food was good, Texas Roadhouse wins hands down on steak. Then we even got a birthday sunday, complete with singing waiters.
It was a fantastic day! So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my lovely sister, and to me as well. Next up.... The 4th of July!
