Ugh I feel miserable! That's my excuse for not posting last night.... in fact I was in bed before 8pm last night.... so I didn't really have a chance to.... anyway.... here's something I took yesterday.
These kids are cuties! (and I say this with the least amount of bias as I possibly can) :)

37/365: Feb 6
So... after 6 months of trying to get one of my pictures in the paper... it happened! And better yet, the subject in the photo was my beautiful little girl! It was definitely a proud moment for this Mommy.

What is a lazy Saturday afternoon good for? .... Going for a drive! So that's what we did.
I'm really looking forward to "someday" when I have more time and no kids to deal with, so I can walk the streets and get some good photos of the Bisbee area.

Ben's not feeling well. The kids have colds. I am exhausted.
All of these things together = a night free from cooking! We had Panda Express. It was delicious!

So with record breaking lows {3 degrees with a windchill of -10}... and frigid-blustery weather, what's better to make for dinner than a nice big pot of soup! I've never made soup before.... but using my mom's trusty "recipe" (which wasn't really a recipe at all) I figured, "How can I go wrong?" :)
Other than a minor disaster with my pepper shaker's top falling off, which I was able to skim off most of the errant spice... it was an easy-breezy experience.
And it tasted wonderful too!

A happy day at the White House.
Ben got called with a job offer today. We've been hoping and waiting for this for over a month. And now we are very excited!
So assuming he passes the background checks, physical, and drug screening (which shouldn't be a problem) Ben should be starting a new job/career by the end of the month.

Ha! At last, the numbers don't match the date!... :)
In any case, it's amazing to me how quickly time is going by. As a mom, watching my kids grown up... learning and experiencing new things every day. I seriously wonder if Tommy, being a boy, is learning some of the more physical things (crawling, walking, climbing, etc) a lot faster than Rebekah did.... or is time is just speeding that much out of my control. Being who I am, I wouldn't want time to stand still... that just gets boring. But it does seems like in just a few quick blinks of my eyes, these kids.. my babies... are going to be ready to start school. And with one fast turn around they'll be graduating, and before I know it they might very well be off and married and starting families of their own. The thought is daunting... So I will do my best to cherish and enjoy the time I have with them now. No matter how short it is, or how fast it goes by.
Thomas is doing so well with walking now. It's almost as if steps are replacing crawls at an alarming rate. And just this afternoon, I caught him doing something that made my breath hitch... until I saw how much he enjoyed it, and the obvious skill he used to get from one chair to the other. :) My little climbing master....
